Virtually every top coach has a brand they use to help sell the school. If the coach can’t sell themselves how t fuck do you expect them to sell the school?

Lots of basketball coaches have the Camp named after them including Fred Hoiberg. Bill Self, Jowan Howard & John Calipari have basketball camps in their name. Nick Saban & Jim Harbaugh have camps with their names in it. Not sure but could be liability reasons or part of the coach's contract so they make more extra coin.

His contract provides him with the right to do this - it's a way for him to make more

(b) The Coach is permitted to organize and conduct athletic schools, camps, and clinics on University premises and will be entitled to retain or distribute to assistant coaches or other staff all proceeds arising therefrom, provided that those camps are conducted in accordance with all requirements imposed by the University on camps, including without limitation the scheduling of such camps and the payment of all requisite fees and charges for the use of University facilities, materials, and services by those camps. This authorization extends as well to each Term of this Agreement
