In all seriousness, I kind of like it. Looking up other stadiums that do this like Ohio State, USC, and Oklahoma, it's a neat look that adds an extra splash of color to what is otherwise a bunch of green.

My only hope is that they get rid of the black outline around the letters. That dates it back to the early 2000s. The white / red contrast is enough and would look cleaner.

Something else to note is that the number font is changed and looks more modernized, which I dig.

I’ve always felt that the field doesn’t look great on TV. Maybe this will help with that.

The interesting thing to me is Houston has pretty much the exact same layout, including the red stripes extending to around the 20 yard line (Houston has it at the 25, but it does make for a nice red zone signifier in Nebraska's case) I wonder if Holgorsen had any input at all on this, even if he just walked by the rendering one time and went "Fuck yeah! I loved those god damn red stripes!"
