Feels like I'm pre-season rankings of teams and its just a total guess at this point with all the new additions.

I'm pretty excited about Aurich, just had a kid get drafted in the first round. Could potentially have another former player go in the first or second next year. Thinking about it, Jeep did as well.

This is probably the strongest staff Rhule's had and I think if we go .500 he's gone.

My point here is that there are few names on this list that should be on a really short leash right now; Thomas, who has shown nothing as far as development, Shorts, because the receivers didn't improve last year and the route running was still bad to poor, Satterfield, no explanation needed, Barthel hasn't really proved that he can recruit at a high level, Holgerson needs to show that first of all he has some independence in deciding what the offense looks like, and second that he has an effective scheme in mind.

Barthel can’t be blamed because the HC and GM don’t see the need to allocate resources to obtain exceptional RBs. They seem to assign him to many of their top targets regardless of position and he has been given much of the credit for Trae Taylor (including by Taylor himself).

Barthel has certainly proven himself
Satterfield continues to develop his TE room better than most other position coaches.

I’m more down on Dana than most. Don’t think he’s the answer.

This cast of characters does well, and Rhule gets more rope.

They shit the bed and he’s getting paid to go away.

I'm not a big fan of Barthel, and I'm not big on his eyes for RBs. I give him credit for Trae.
Satterfield is not in my good graces at all. I feel like he is incapable of comprehending the potential of the Hybrid TE that so many other schools have developed so successfully. His lone quality recruit since arrival is Luke.

We had a quality TE coach in Sean Beckton, one of the very few on the Frost staff. We should have kept him.

By far the biggest question mark and the one that's gonna be the biggest determinant of how our season goes is Aurich. Can he live up to what the metrics looked like at SDSU last year, or is he a one-season G5-level flash in the pan like Frost?
