Miami went 7-5 last year, what the fuck did they do to deserve a top 20 ranking?

No clue... They hired Mario Cristobal, had the 12th ranked transfer class (Nebraska's was 7th) and the 13th overall class according to 247.

16th seems maybe a touch high, but I can see it. I think I saw somebody with a ballot having them top 5.

Miami has never had a talent problem. So I guess some are factoring in the Mario effect and the administrations new commitment to football.
