• With the win 34-31 win, Nebraska improves to 3-1 in the all-time series with Maryland, including a 2-0 record in College Park.

• Nebraska improves to 5-1 for the second straight season.

• Nebraska outscored Maryland, 10-0 in the fourth quarter and won for the first time when trailing in the fourth quarter since a 14-13 win at Rutgers in 2022. Nebraska out-gained Maryland, 187-58 in the fourth quarter.

• Nebraska improved to 2-1 in games this season decided by seven points or less.

• Nyziah Hunter opened the scoring with a career-long 64-yard touchdown reception. The catch bettered his previous long of 60 yards while at Cal against SMU in 2024. Hunter had a 59-yard TD reception last week against Michigan State for his previous Nebraska long.

• Hunter added a 12-yard TD catch in the second quarter, giving him his second multi-TD catch game of his career. He also had two TD catches at Auburn last season while playing at Cal.

• Hunter’s TD catches were his third and fourth of the season, giving Nebraska three players with three or more TD catches (also Dane Key and Jacory Barney Jr.). This is the first time Nebraska has had three players with at least three touchdown receptions in the same season since 2018. It is the first time three Husker wide receivers each had three touchdown catches since 2015.

• Hunter finished the game with five receptions for a career-high 125 yards, bettering his previous high of 93 against Michigan State last week.

• Hunter is the third different receiver to post a 100-yard receiving day this season.

• Running back Emmett Johnson carried 21 times for a career-high 176 yards in the game, marking his third 100-yard rushing game of the season (also vs Cincinnati and Akron) and the fourth of his Nebraska career. His previous high was 113 against Wisconsin last season.

• Johnson’s 176 yards rushing is the most by a Husker since Anthony Grant had 189 yards against North Dakota in 2022. It is the most yards by a Husker in a Big Ten game since Dedrick Mills had 191 yards at Rutgers in 2020.

• Johnson’s 50-yard run in the fourth quarter was a career long, betting his previous best of 47 yards earlier this season against Akron.

• Johnson eclipsed the 1,500-yard mark in career rushing and now has 1,659 career rushing yards.

• Quarterback Dylan Raiola completed 20-of-29 passes for 260 yards and a career-high four touchdowns. Raiola’s 64-yard TD pass to Hunter to open the scoring marked his career long pass, bettering a pair of 59-yard passes.

• Raiola’s four-TD effort tied his career high as he also had four TDs against Akron. It also marks his fourth career game with at least three touchdowns, including three times in 2025.

• Raiola was 4-of-5 for 72 yards on Nebraska’s final drive and was 8-of-12 for 108 yards and a score.

• Nebraska scored 24 points in the first half. Maryland had allowed just 10 combined points in the first half of its first five games this season.

• Nebraska led 24-17 at the half, marking the 10th straight game Nebraska has led or been tied at halftime. The previous time Nebraska had a streak of 10 consecutive games without trailing at the half was a 12-game streak spanning the 2000 and 2001 seasons.

• Jacory Barney Jr. had three receptions for 16 yards, marking his 18th straight game with multiple catches.

• Tight end Luke Lindenmeyer caught a seven-yard TD pass in the second quarter for his second career TD reception and second in 2025. He finished with two catches for 30 yards.

• Senior linebacker Javin Wright finished the game with a career-high 12 tackles, including nine solo stops. It marked his third straight game with double-figure tackles. His previous high was 10 against Michigan and Michigan State. Wright is the first Husker to post three straight games with double-figure tackles since Corey Cooper in 2013.

• Kenneth Williams had an 85-yard kickoff return in the second quarter to set up a Nebraska touchdown. The 85-yard return was Nebraska’s longest kickoff had a 99-yard kickoff return since JD Spielman return for a touchdown against Arkansas State on Sept. 2, 2017.
