I listened to it on the way back from a 7th grade outdoor education backpacking trip to Halsey. It was the first time I was away from my parents for more than a few days, and on the bus ride back home I listened to it over and over for some god damn reason.

My "great" dad died of cancer at age 47 after feeling ill for three to four months before going to the doctor for the first time in twenty years.

I was 27 at the time, and my youngest brother was still in college at 19. Turns out, 19-30 year old's still like/need their good dads to be around. I'm sure you'll be the best dad you can, but also I hope all the mother's and father's do their best to keep themselves kicking for as long as possible.
