Our New NIL Pool…

We absoluteiy need to bolster both the OL and DL.

On skill players - EJ has turned out really good. Mozee might end up being pretty good, but who knows. But RB needs depth and talent.

At WR - we have some good players, but honestly, compared to the true upper echelon teams in the country, we don't have difference makers like those teams have at WR. USC had us covered up tight pretty much all night. Sure, some of it might be playcalling, there will always be those who thinks the QB is most of the problem, etc. But there is a noticeable difference in true upper echelon teams and their skill player talent.

As far as the defense, our DB's and coverage has been excellent this year. An A grade for them. DL we know is soft/weak in the middle, and we do need more pass rushers even though Nawerni is defenititely talented and will only get better.

OL, DL and a boost in the skill player area a bit. Mostly OL and DL are the biggest holes. Not sure how much more NIL/etc funds we will have for this round, but it needs to be substantial and they need to hit on the ones they pay big bucks to bring in.

DE opposite WN, DT, OT

I love you bros but your $50 donation to x OL/DL/RB is insignificant. Big money guys believe in Rhule or they don't.

EJ was our only skill player USC was afraid of. Everyone else they bottled up pretty well. Need to keep recruiting over guys. Can’t just rest on Quinn Clark hopefully taking the next step next year.

Dylan getting injured will expedite that…

Dom has to see that liability

Yep. Was just going to say I think that what happened tonight furthers the case for getting rid of Donnie. Both Dylan and Dom are smart enough to know having a better OL is going to help Dylan’s career here, as well as his draft prospects. They also have eyes and know this shit we trot out every week isn’t getting it done.

How do we thread the needle of firing Donny and retaining Dylan? Dylan is ready for a great season, just needs the OL.
Dylan didn't come here because of Donovan, & won't leave because of Donovan.

I don't have any heartburn about the ramifications of making a change, if the need to do so is determined by Rhule.

I’m not sure I’m ready to fire anyone after a patched together OL gave up one sack all night to a team that leads the conference in them that just so happened to get our QB hurt and EJ ran for like 160.

I was deathly afraid of the matchup of their pass rush vs our OL. I don’t know that they were bad tonight.

Got a lot of youth on the DL in RVP, the kid from ND who I can never spell his name, and Williams. I’d like to see us get a bit bigger up front so we aren’t getting pushed out of gaps in the run game.

I’d be surprised if Emmett is back next year. Going to be hard to raise his stock anymore than he has this year and why risk an injury. Dean’s podcast said someone has him as the 8th back off the board right now.
