Cow calf operation, 90 spring calving cows which are about 1/3 calved out, and 200 late summer/early fall calving. Wean and precondition all calves 90 days before taking them to market. Farm about 700 acres, 2/3 of that being corn and soybean rotation, the balance is used for silage/rye/bmr etc for raising feed. I'd give up the farm ground for 100 more cows in a heartbeat, good times to be in the Beef industry amiright @Adolph Coors or amiright?

help with dads 60 my brothers 30 my grandpas 150 on occassion. all herds were started & are ran separately.

do some summer haying and some winter forage baling. would like to farm a bit in the future.

I work from home for a major trucking company. I work from home so I can pickup my daughter from school in the afternoons. Been doing it for almost 10 years. Certainly other things I’d like to do or go back and change in my past as far as school goes to do something I’m more passionate about, but it gets the job done for daily life. I would say it certainly allows me the flexibility to be able to do the things daily that I’m much more passionate about, while also having the employment stability, which is fine.
