…is a complete fucking joke. Ducks fans should start planning their playoff travel plans now.

I dunno, this looks pretty fair to me?

They’re playing the likely fcs champ, a (typically) solid p4 school, away at Penn st, Indiana who’s in the playoff, and then a bunch of old b10 west teams who individually aren’t at their caliber but collectively are hard to get through.

I'm not sure its that easy to play in Chicago, then back to Oregon, the out to Pennsylvania, then back to Oregon, then out to New Jersey, then back to Oregon, and then out to Cockeye over the course of 8 weeks.

In fact, that kind of looks like a gift for Cockeye.

FCS game is against the #1 team who’s going to win the national championship this year

Non-Conference P4 game

Rivalry game before playing two straight games against 2024 CFP teams, including one on the road

Cross country travel road game @ Rutgers is a major letdown spot

@ Kinnick in November

I don’t necessarily think it’s a “joke” of a schedule - you could argue there will be 4 pre-season top 25 teams on it (Penn State, Indiana, Cockeye, USC) plus the #1 FCS team. Seems like if they take care of business they’ll be rewarded accordingly and also have some room for error.

I think it’s kind of humorous that the conference rotates between “Easy” and “Good Fucking Luck” in terms of schedule difficulty instead of normalizing it across all teams.
But Oregon is the team that would make it a "good fucking luck" schedule, and they can't play themselves, right?

They have 2 CFP teams on it. One of the toughest road games in the league (Cockeye). A P4 noncon + a rivalry game noncon. Plus a team that could bounce back and be CFP (USC). Plus a road rivalry game (UW).

They miss Ohio St, but other than that this is an average B1G schedule for Oregon. If anything it's tougher than average w the road games at PSU, Cockeye and UW (their rivalry game).

No Ohio St or Michigan - at least to me - is telling. Penn St is a tough draw but easier IMO than Ohio St and Michigan. I think Michigan bounces back next year while Indiana takes a step back.

It’s the same shit that would happen to us from the 2015-2020 timeline. We would get both Ohio St/Michigan while Wisconsin and Cockeye would get the Indianas and Rutgers (back when they sucked).

I hear what you’re saying but it’s one of the easier draws they could have gotten.

I don’t think Montana St poses any threat to Oregon.

So you are saying Cockeye got a scheduling favor? So weird for the Big 10 to help them.....*insert Borat "Not".

Yeah I'll buy that with Michigan. I'm not convinced Sherrone Moore will keep them elite though. I actually think Cignetti is a better HC.

My thing is this always changes by the end. For example, our gauntlet 2021 schedule which was #1 SOS preseason turned out to be downgraded as the season went on.

That 2021 yr changed this discussion for me.

If Montana St beats Oregon next year I’ll grow another dick. On my forehead.
Screenshot and saved for future reference. For the record, I don't think Montana State will win the FCS this year either and will probably choke to one of the Dakota Schools.

Who are these fucking slap nuts ADs that schedule these FCS teams who could actually do some damage? It's low probability given that Poke State who sucks shit housed SDSU, but why even risk it when it's viewed as equally impressive to scheduling 0 and a million Idaho State?
