Nebraska had $141 million in expenses in 2022, Since the AD is not losing money, I don't think their 2022 revenue is being reported. yet.

Edit: I take that back, they only had $143 in revenue last year.

Edit #2: Nebraska isn't reporting donors to this figure. Nebraska only reported $1.29 million, Illinois $40.96 million, Indiana $61.66 million.

1. Wonder if/how much of the donation base was re-routed to the facility project and how that was structured?

2. What % of many of these schools' budgets goes toward servicing debt (which we famously do not have)

3. How the fuck is Illinois above us? Same goes for Virginia.

Does making the post-season in the two major men’s sports impact this at all? I honestly have no idea how much revenue you receive from making the tournament or a bowl.

Every year these numbers are a head scratcher when it comes to Nebraska.

We must report differently? If that's the case, it should be mentioned IMO.

Donation numbers are abysmal.

Can we get PwC to audit these numbers?

My favorite PWC story is from my former tax law professor who said she was an associate slave on the audit of Enron team.

Her team told their supervisor that they had never seen such clean books (which is immediately suspect) but they were told by their supervisor’s supervisor to “shut up and dribble”

Here is the deal. Since at least 2008ish, Nebraska’s AD has only reported the amount of donor dollars necessary to make the budget balance with a slight surplus. The rest of the money remains in the NU foundation. Back as long ago as the mid 2010s there was $15 millionish per year of donor money staying in the foundation in the “Rainy Day Fund”. That is why the AD didn’t sweat Covid too bad like other schools. There is a borderline obscene amount of money that the AD has stuffed in the foundation. If the full amount of donor dollars were counted NU is Top 15. Don’t worry our AD is printing money. I posted about it on RSS too.
