I know they are trying to play a beach sport in the Midwest and you have to play schools that have teams, but I get a good laugh at some of the schools Nebraska plays in beach volleyball.

These are actual schools on our schedule, none of which I have ever heard of before:

Eckerd
McKendree
Trinidad State
Ottawa
Park
Southwest Babtist
The Master's
Santa Monica
Hope International
Ventura
Moorpark

I thougth we used to play a handful of Pac 12 teams or other Power 5 schools. Not anymore. I know we don't approach beach volleyball like other schools, who have separate teams and players than indoor VB. We treat it like a spring training for our indoor team, and that's fine. So apparently we've really downgraded our schedule. TBH, the only schools I reconginze on our schedule are probably because they were once 15 or 16 seeds in the NCAA basketball tournament: Stephen F. Austin, Mercer, Stetson, Chaminade. Seriously, those are the biggest names on our schedule.

I'm not complaining, because I don't care enough to complain. Just thought it was funny.

Nebraska's Rachel Schwartz on the right.

Tara Mueller, the GOAT as far as hot Husker volleyball players go, IMO.

Purely for reps, doubles gets you a lot of different looks for players that are not asked to serve/receive/set during court ball. Not really trying to compete on a national stage.

I believe West coast and Florida schools have sand only teams where the players don’t play on the court team
