I’ve always had a theory, that the amount of masculinity that gets absolutely ripped apart by so many men’s inability to know what the fuck they are doing at boat launches causes extra testosterone to kick in to compensate.

The closest I’ve been to a fist fight since my mid 20s was when a grown man told my 8 year old to shut the fuck up after my loud mouth kid said way too loud, “You should help that guy daddy, he has no idea what he’s doing” when he was backing his trailer in

Yeah, One of my favorite boat launch stories is after I got the Minn Kota Ulterra on my boat (giant piece of shit trolling motor, would not recommend), but I’d be able to stow and deploy from my truck so I’d just fling by boat off the trailer, throw down the trolling motor from the remote and then put it in anchor mode and be in and out in less than a minute.

Had this poor old guy at branched oak think I was losing my boat and jump in to grab it for me, Nebraskans are the best sometimes.



Then another time, my mouthy 9 year old heard me bitching about Jetskiers for 6 hours while we’re fishing, we’re walking off the dock while a guy is walking on to get on his jetski. Right when they’re about shoulder to shoulder my mouthy kid (7 at the time) says “Fucking jetskiers, right dad?”

Luckily the dude thought it was the funniest thing in the world and gave him a fist bump.

It's also combined with alcohol, being out in the sun all day, and a group of onlookers watching you not know WTF you're doing.
