Any of the OU/Miami games from the 80's. Miami won each game but both teams were stocked with bad asses. Great athletes and dudes that were looking to hurt you.

That's the one my mind goes to. End of an era for an upset like that having the national championship elimination, with the expanded playoffs.

I have a decent story about that game. I went to five ND games in a row between 1990 and 1992, all with my brother in law who is a big ND fan and I, of course, as an avid ND hater. They lost them all, at a time when they didn't lose many. He thought I was a curse, and refused to go with me to any more games.

I got tickets to the 1993 ND-FSU last minute through my best friend whose mom worked in the athletic department at the time. They had a pair of no shows at will call, so we went and watched ND beat them. My BIL then went to BC-ND the next week with his son and..... I guess he was the curse.
