NIL is a scam and those "collectives" are getting taken for a ride. The NCAA and the Conferences figured out a way to get you fat walleted, big shots to pay the players while they sit back haul in more and more. In other words they got you to pay for their employees (the players) while at the same time getting you to buy tickets to see those same players you already bought play......and then ask you to donate for facilities... you've been had, big shots.

Here's the proof....

NCAA couldn't keep up with chasing illegal payouts from Boosters so maybe come up with a solution that makes them look like they are benefitting the players. I love that players can make money but hard for me to stomach an "Amateur Athlete" making $200,000/year. Also schools that weren't cheating as much can now level the playing field a little bit. Ultimately all things equal it benefits the schools like Texas, USC, Stanford, Tex A&M....... that have a vast alumni network with deep pockets.

I don't get the link between NIL and that tweet.
OP probably believes the players should get 48% of the revenue in a CBA/as employees but I don’t give a shit if rich boosters are footing the bill. Sucks if ur the poor schools who need all of the fans to donate to a collective just to sniff north of a million

B1G revenue down almost 100 million

If a booster wants to foot the bill or a company wants to, I really don't care. I am just happy the players can actually get paid for their services which are extremely valuable. It will reach an equilibrium and it is crazy now, but it will reach an equilibrium and the quickest way is through the free market.
