Biggest blessing of yore life, brother! Times will be filled with little sleep, happiness, anger and every emotion possible. Best advice I have (my daughter is a senior in h.s.) is take pictures, don't leave any memories behind, love hard, but teach properly because they are what you teach them! God bless!

My only real tip is avoid doing things that make things easier in your current short-term hellscape of sleep deprivation that will make it more difficult in the long term. For example, holding for naps for the first year is really easy to do because it's incredible you have a baby and want to hold them, but it can fuck you up bigly in the long run

The wife and I welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world a few days ago! Both are doing great. Any and all parenting tips are appreciated considering this is our first child!
Congrats! Pray the wife can breast feed. A lot less work for you for about a year. Otherwise it’s really just fun and rewarding being a father. Learn as you go and don’t sweat it.

Ah man I disagree with this one. Snuggling for naps is literally the only redeeming they have when you don’t have a tit for the first 3-6 months. Sleep can be fixed in 1-2 weeks later on.

If it can be fixed in 1-2 weeks, whatever. But sometimes it can't.

Congrats! Start your little one sleeping in their own room and crib from day one. All three of my kids (5, 3, & 1) all went straight from the hospital to their crib and are Rockstar sleepers.

My 8 month old just took a shit then tried to roll over and shove her ass in my face while cleaning and changing her diaper, so that was cool
