yepJust got a ticket. I'm driving down tomorrow (Friday). Anyone want to carpool?
And anyone watch the Vandy game? How do we compare to them?
Vandy has possibly the best backcourt duo in the country with Tyler Tanner and Duke Miles. And anyone watch the Vandy game? How do we compare to them?

Let's treat Vanderbilt how we should treat every billionaire
By cutting their head off and sticking it on a fucking pike

Let's whoop these nerds.
The biggest takeaway I like is how the pregame show said it. It's different if you're in the same conference vs never seeing it before. I think that was Troy's downfall. Nebraska's defense is so hard to prepare for if you're not in the Big Ten and just try to watch film. Guarantee Vanderbilt didn't pay attention much until we were in the same bracket. Plus, they had to plan for McNeese first.I watched and I think I like the match up. So I looked up some stats on them earlier today. 1st… I noticed they’re not huge or the most physical team from what my eyeballs saw. When I looked up their stats, they’re 190th in scoring defense, 168th(I think) in offensive rebounding and 76th in defensive rebounding. That’s what I really like about the matchup.
What I don’t like are some of their offensive stats. They don’t turn the ball over much. Vanderbilt and Nebraska are tied nationally for least turnovers, somewhere in the teens.(I can’t remember off the top of my head) Also, they shoot the 3 pretty well. 48th nationally in 3s made. I think Nebraska is 16th.
In summary our offensive stats are somewhat comparable, but the defensive stats tell the tale IMO. Nebraska’s defensive statistics are on a different level. And offensive rebounding really jumps out at me. We suck at offensive rebounding, but Fred sacrifices offensive rebounds to shut down transition scoring. And we have struggled against teams who are dominant on the offensive glass, think Purdooki. Well, Vanderbilt sucks at offensive rebounding too.
So I see the matchup as a net positive for Nebraska. But then again who knows. In college basketball a team can have an insane shooting night and offset all statistical probabilities.
