It wont be that easy to beat Hawaii in Hawaii. They play well at home.

Secondly, the focus factor is always a crapshoot in these beach getaway tourneys.

I didn't know Oregon St's NET was 51. Top 50 at a neutral site is a quad 1 game. I've been worried about this tournament since the field was announced because of the teams included. I know Robin said Nebraska only agreed to this because they were told another P4 team was going to be included, but this probably shouldn't have been agreed to. Really need to go 3-0.

I get from a metrics standpoint this tournament could be bad if we drop a game.

But computers don't win us our first NCAA tournament game. We need to get our players experiences in tough environments where they need to win to help give us a chance to have more success in the tournament. If we can't go win something like this we probably aren't winning in the NCAA tournament beyond getting hot and winning a single game.

IIRC - weren't they expecting some better names to enter this? Not that it matters at this point, but I thought they were expecting a slightly better field and that obviously didn't materialize.
