So uhhh....we have to win this one because if we don't, we're probably leaving Columbus 4-4. That would be absolutely brutal. Merely getting to 6-6 and making a bowl wouldn't be guaranteed at that point.

I don't think we lose all of our next 3 games. That being said, none of these games are easy, and Buttgers is the easiest of the next 3. We could easily and reasonably lose all of our next 3 games - a lot depends on if we take steps forward in crunch time play of these games. OSU is obviously a very tall task, that no one is expecting W from.

Beat Buttgers (I have no score prediction yet) first. It most likely will be a closer game, where we have to execute well in the 2nd half and 4th qtr, or it will be a loss (doubt we have a big lead going into the 4th). Schiano teams have normally have very good special teams play, which is the polar opposite of our teams. Could loom large. But we will see. I hope we see improvement in the running game and special teams. Even average special teams and kicking would be helpful. Long snapper issues needs to be cleaned up for sure.

Buttgers holds the advantage in each of these categories. If we can't make them one dimensional and stop stepping on our dicks it will be a rough game to watch.

Kaliakmanis & Buttgers' WR corps don't scare me at all. Shadildo Sanders, despite the jackassery, is a very good QB & Altmyer was methodical against our defense. Kaliakmanis is neither of them.

They do have a decent OL and their backs Monangai and Brown are legit, however, they have not played a defense with our size or physicality at all yet. Akron & Howard stink, Virginia Tech's front 7 is small as shit. Maryland and Buttgers always look good early in the year then crumble in conference play because they don't have any hosses.

Defensively, they have a pretty good secondary. However, they have not played a team with the caliber of receiving talent like Banks/Neyor/Barney yet. They are also light in the ass in the front 7 & struggle pressuring the QB or stopping the run. Our OL should cannibalize them. I anticipate Emmett & Dowdell having big games.

If we do this right, 38-14 NU.
If we come out lethargic, our kickers miss FGs & the refs get back on that cockamamie bullshit, 19-17 Buttgers.

Our run defense has felt leaky this year and Monangai is a stud. This is my biggest concern that we won’t be able to get off the field on defense and Buttgers will dominate the T.O.P.

I’m going to predict a win bc predicting a loss is no fun, but I feel very little confidence in my prediction.
