Dylan Berymon, a high 4* star DL from Monroe, LA, visited this last weekend and is VERY high on Nebraska. Nebraska is now seen as the team to beat for his commitment. This would be the highest rated player NU has acquired on the DL as a HS recruit since Ty Robinson committed in 2019.

Dylan is 6' 2" and 330 lbs.

Reminds Us Of

Jayden Jackson Oklahoma Sooners

- Broad-trunked, powerfully-assembled interior defensive lineman with corresponding punch and strength.
- Wears 300-plus pounds well considering relatively limited frame in height/length dimensions.
- Powerful point-of-attack assailant.
- Quick off the ball relative to mass and knows how to put strength/power to use.
- Scheme-versatile defender who can two-gap with size and strength, but a penetrator by nature who disrupts timing in the run game.
- Pass-rushing upside may be limited because of physical dimensions and sheer mass.
- Will need to keep conditioning in check.
- Enhances athletic profile with respectable shot put reps.
- Bona fide SEC-style interior D-line body who flashes impressive athleticism and speed-to-power abilities. Fits a coveted position archetype. Should develop into quality high-major starter who could become a pro prospect.

Texas basically recruited over him. Flipped a guy named Richard Anderson, a 5 star from Edna Carr, away from LSU, and took Berymon’s spot away.
While that is basically true; Dylan would still be the highest ranked HS DT recruit that NU has had since Ty Robinson committed in 2019. Long time since then.

Berymon fits our model in the 4 - 2 or 3 - 3 as a true 0 - 3 tech. Probably more aptly that he would Texas's defensive scheme.
