What is happening there? Are kids transferring out to play at different schools?
boy has Omaha Central fallen off the map, that's a formerly proud program that would lose to some class C schools

Speaking of class C when did Roncalli move from class B to class C?

This is their first year in C1. The new Omaha, Lincoln, and Gretna schools bumped them down to C. Same with Gross, but they elected to stay B.

Oh ok. Just sounds weird since they've been class B for so long.

Class B has become a joke of a class in so many sports. NSAA needs to figure some classification things out. 26 teams? So 2/3 of football make playoffs and 2/3 get automatic district final in hoops?
Aurora getting teams murdered this year.

The NSAA does what the member schools tell them to do. They are the ones that vote on the current setup.

There is a proposal to change the cutoff numbers moving forward in football. Using boys-only enrollment figures, 500+ would be Class A, 200-499 would be Class B and the remaining schools electing to play 11-man football would be split evenly into Classes C1 and C2.

Using this year's enrollment figures, would potentially look like this:

Thank you for sharing, great information. And yes the schools do influence the nsaa, so I should have rephrased it as I was just trying to imply that change needs to happen not trying to solely single out the NSAA. But class C1 I mean can you imagine Aurora or York playing a let’s say Louisville or Conestoga, you’re gonna get kids hurt.
