I had no idea the Rockies were THAT desperate to trade him. They are paying $50 million of his $199 million contact yet owed to him. Cards also avoided giving up any of their top prospects either. Gomber is the main piece in the deal for Colorado .. decent reliever with potential starter innings.
I'd be pissed if I was a Rockies fan, at least get better prospects and they couldn't even pull that off.
