Some insiders on the scrolls said JMI made promises they couldn't keep. Basically they've never done a full media rights suite with a team before, so this was how they were going to try getting their foot in the door. They won't even be profitable for another 5 years and put stipulations in the contract they knew would force Nebraska to refuse in the end. There's no way they could have accomplished what they originally promised.
