Minnesota (5-7) gets final bowl bid (No bowl for 'Skers)

Well, at least we don't have to hear on every broadcast of our games next season: "Nebraska made a bowl game last season, but was only 5 and 7 and the only team with a losing record to make a bowl game".

Because you know for sure that this fact would have been brought up at least once, if not multiple times, during our games broadcast if we had made a bowl game at 5 and 7.

And for the record - we don't deserve a bowl game. Can't secure one single win in November, shutting ourselves out again. Continuing the longest ongoing streak in CFB for a team not making a bowl game.

It will continue to schedules don't get any easier than what we had this year.

Yeah, the schedules are only getting tougher. Far tougher. We needed this season to be at least 7 and 5 to springboard us on faster upward trajectory. We have some huge holes to fill - a bonafide QB, better O Line, more and better receivers and RB's.

We need to quit scheduling tough games to start the season, and our OOC schedule needs to not include tougher teams where it is a toss up W or L. The B1G schedule is going to be tougher now, look at our last 5 games of the 2024 season. Tough. If we don't improve significantly in several areas, getting to consistent winning records will be difficult.

What’s with all the football talk? We’re a women’s volleyball and soccer school!!

Although we might be on the precipice of looking like a functional mens basketball team!
