If they really want to deter this stuff they have to have a way to immediately investigate and take care of this before the season plays out. Once the National Championship is won it no longer matters and it's worth the price of cheating.
If Michigan didn't want to participate in the investigation once this was revealed they should have been in-eligible for the playoff.
It’s really frustrating when someone does something they know is illegal but figures it will just take too long for the wheels of justice to provide any meaningful punishment.
They need to reinstate every win that’s ever been forfeited for recruiting violations. How can you strip programs wins for paying players and then let a team actually use on field cheating to win a national championship.
