I think Sean Callahan got something right this morning when he predicted that the Michigan @ Nebraska game wouldn't be an 11 am game on FOX. The last few months, it seemed like a certainty because the Big Ten slate is terrible that week outside of Michigan/ Nebraska and Illinois at Indiana. While Ill and Indiana should both have good teams, there is no way FOX was picking that one up over Michigan at Nebraska.
Well as Callahan pointed out on his site this morning, the Networks are already lining up to select the Bill Bellichek train wreck at North Carolina. Their week 2 game vs. Charlotte is even likely going to be a Primetime game on ESPN. In week 4, North Carolina plays at Central Frostorida. Since UCF is a Big 12 team, Fox has 1st pick on those rights. Its highly probably that Fox selects that game because people will tune in to root against Bill.
So where does that leave the Huskers vs. Michigan?
Oregon State plays at Oregon. While that could be a night game, I don't think it moves the register for NBC. I bet it will be on FS1 or BTN, but later at night.
The next question is whether or not NBS or CBS have the first pick that week. The network that draws first that week will undoubtedly take the game. I think the picks go like this, with my predictions:
1. Michigan at Nebraska- CBS or NBC
2. Illinois at Indiana - CBS or NBC
3. Michigan State at USC - BTN at night
4. Oregon State at Oregon. - FS1 or BTN late at night
5. Cockeye at Rutgers - BTN 11 am
6. Maryland at Wisconsin - BTN afternoon
