Anyone else have them tear up their yard? Dug two huge holes in mine. Looked fine when they first filled them in but stepped on one and sunk in about 8 inches.

Anyone have them currently for internet? They reliable, both my wife and I WFH so reliability is extremely important. Initial price looks cheaper than cox, who is currently my only option, but they also have 12, 24, and 36 month price increases. Not sure if I should switch or try to negotiate with cox.

If you've been a Cox customer for a bit, you can call their loyalty/cancellation department (regular customer service won't be able to do this), and get ~$30 a month off. I just did that a couple months ago.

Can you get Elon to help ya. He has doing the lowereds work to us out here 0n the ring of the rain forest on the Olympic Peninsula.

I also WFH and have a great local fiber company's Internet that works reliably and I would 100000% not recommend fucking with it over price. Used to have CenturyLink and they'd go out for weeks at a time and not fix it which is a yuuuuge pain in the ass

I live in Des Moines; but we signed up for Metronet about a year ago and have been pretty happy with it. Definitely costs more than my old century link service but there have been very little service disruptions (especially compared to Centurylink). Best way to sum it up is that it just works as you’d expect.

Only caveat I’ll add is that we had an extremely tough time with the initial setup. There’s roughly a 2-3 week lag between the initial setup and them hiring out a burial crew to trench in the cable. For us they had to run the fiber cable from a neighbors backyard and said neighbor has a dog that chewed through the cable no exaggeration 4-5 separate times. If I could do it again I’d just make sure to not cancel your current provider until the fiber cable is buried.

Ran in to that with cox since this was a new build. The box is in my yard but had the cable there for 3-4 weeks before they buried it. No dog to chew through it at the time but I almost got it with the lawn mower several times. Huge pain in the ass.

So about that.

The check must have been made by RubberMaid the way it bounced.

Definitely the worst part in my opinion.

We have a dog, but he could care less about the cable. It was the neighbors dog that was the menace which made it even more frustrating.

My Cox internet has been out since yesterday evening and as someone who works from home it’s really starting to piss me off.
