Blitzed 9 times and only under pressure 4. 1-2 when he did throw. Only 6 passes downfield but perfect in those throws. Holding out hope it wasn't a false positive.

9 pressures isn't bad. I'd like to time how long he held onto the ball on a few of those though.

Wisconsin also played Illinois which will be a bottom feeder this year.

I truly hope we are better than Illinois.

I remarked during the game that it is painfully obvious we are blitzing. We make it easy to pick up.
also laughed when a replay of Miller blitzing showed him run from hovering over center in the A gap to basically looping (literally 2 yards back from the LOS) and around the end to rush the QB! Lol
It would have taken Fields holding the ball for 5 seconds for Miller to get there.

Mertz was basically playing 7 on 7 ball out there. Illinois literally gave him all day to find the open man. If we can get a pass rush to the equivalent of what we did against OSU, hes going to struggle. He hasn't been tested in that way in his young career.
