I'm surprised that Turd's comments haven't gotten more run here.

It sounds like he is very concerned with modernizing Memorial Stadium and even said "We need to stop making emotional decisions and start making good, solid business decisions. We need to do the right thing, and so we're thinking about 10, 15, 20 years down the road. What does Memorial Stadium look like".

That's pretty damn refreshing to hear an AD talk like that. He's setting up a group that's going to look at appropriate size, what fan amenities we need, etc..

I was told that back in 2019, there were thousands of fans with digital tickets who had no concept of pulling up the app on their phone in order to get the tickets scanned.

I can't remember the last time I actually attended a concert or pro sporting event with physical tickets in hand.

I no longer live in NE and get to games on the reg, but can confirm that the stadium experience sucks in Lincoln. The 90's/00's push to get bigger capacity looks pretty stupid now when you can buy tix for $22 the day before a B10 night game: Yikes.

Lincoln aside, any big stadium I've been to (80K+), suck in comparison to the smaller venues. You get better space, amenities, lines are not as long, and you are competing against the home experience which improves YoY. Everyone has a big screen and don't have to put up with the hassle of gameday.

I think the Frost era will allow nature to take its course and that pruning of capacity will be easy. Demand will go down, long time season ticket holders will die or be disgusted with Frost, and Alberts can make this thing a more intimate atmosphere.

It means that the “grandfathered” seats with no donation shouldn’t be subsidized if others are will to pay $2,500 per seat for the same seats.

Tear it down and build an exact replica of Arrowhead except with more modern amenities. I love going to games there. I don't think I've ever had a bad seat. Holds about 75-76K which is just about right. I know it will never happen but it should.

They aren't going to go to that level, but I wish they would. Not nearly enough money to do something like that one would think.

I would like them to make the stadium somewhat bigger and more impressive, while keeping around the same amount of seating/capacity. So a somewhat bigger stadium (add on somewhere to the existing stadium) but make the seating bigger and nicer overall. Update and improve the entire amenities, make it something where people feel like they are in an NFL type stadium. Maybe this isn't possible with the space they currently have with how the rows are spaced - IDK the particulars of what it would all take TBH. You'd think they could make something more like theater seating (wider by say 6" for each seat) for the lower half of the stadium, add on vertically somewhere/somehow so that people had more room and better seats in the lower half (at least, if not lower 2/3rds) and have the nose bleeds be more similar to what most people are used to now.

Probably a pipe dream, but that would be something realistic that I would like to see. Not that I go to games living in MT (I did travel back to go to one 2 years ago), but I think improving/updating the experience would be a boon to the entire program.

last year rumor was the South stadium was going to be torn down and rebuilt with "condo" style boxes above the seating area, akin to North stadium...no thanks. The East stadium nose bleeds are just god awful to look at but whatevs.
