It's a very good college football podcast with Tom Fornelli, Chip Patterson, Danny Kanell and Bud Elliott
Made me think about LSU firing a guy less than 2 years from winning a national championship. What is Nebraska waiting for? Obviously LSU is a different animal, it is very, very easy to recruit to LSU so it doesn't take as long to build. But if Nebraska goes 6-6, 5-7, 4-8 this year then there is no shown improvement in 4 years. They have to move on. It makes me sad that Nebraska can't recruit coaches like LSU will be able to.
They brought up interesting name for LSU:
Lincoln Riley
Sounded nuts at first but the points were pretty good. To win a national championship you have to be able to compete in the trenches with Bama, Georgia, Ohio St. What's easier for Riley to do...recruit a QB to LSU or recruit DL to OU? Riley's offense at LSU. Would be scary.
The other names brought up: Jimbo Fisher, Mario Cristobal, Billy Napier, Urban Meyer, Mel Tucker
Nebraska has fallen so far, they couldn't even get those guys to pick up the phone. Makes me sad.
