Just found out my buddy is getting married on...

Sept 18th... same day as Nebraska/OU. What possesses people to schedule their weddings on days like these? Especially when both bride and groom are UNL grads? Probably won’t matter since we will get killed but still annoying. Rant over.
He's not your buddy, guy.

But seriously, if he is your buddy, save him some trouble and tell him to not marry that wench of a wife he's getting. Who in the fuck does something like that, especially both being UNL grads....

Why do all weddings seem to happen in the fall? What is the draw? If you are getting married in the fall, do it on Friday.

Am getting married tomorrow.. my family was annoyed because it’s turkey season-but tbh, so was I at first.
Either way, game or no game on a wedding day, I usually end up doing the same things;
Getting drunk
Being obnoxiously loud
Getting yelled at by the girlfriend/wife
Having semi-angry sex using a drunken cock that doesn’t seem to realize he’s in a vagina

Congratulations!

Having gone to college in the northeast, I've been to many weddings where I had to watch a Husker game on my phone. I think in 2016 I had three good friends get married on Husker gamedays.

Are they even aware that the game is that day? Have they addressed why they did it nonetheless? Aren't they worried that people will either no-show or be distracted for large parts of the ceremony and/or reception?

WAAAAAAAY back in the day, my folks got invited to a game-day wedding. Oddly enough, it was with football friends (Spike and Diane), whose own daughter picked the date because it was the only day the church in Lincoln was available (go figure). My dad - like nearly all of the men forced to witness this ceremony against their will - had a transistor radio with an earpiece run inside his suit jacket and into his one good ear (he's deaf in the left ear, compliments of the US Army as he was an artillery Sergeant in the Korean War).

About halfway through the ceremony, the Huskers punched one it and all of the men in the audience simultaneously gave a little fist punch into the air. Dad said it looked pretty weird looking at all of the church pews ahead (and probably behind) him with the men silently celebrating mid-ceremony.
