My read has been that he's made some promises that haven't come through and the "fully funded scholarships" has been done with some "hand waiving" but I don't think he's insincere in his desire to do some things for baseball and this is definitely a good outcome.

But others know more (including OP).

He's making moves across multiple sports that TA, and even BM, talked about. I give him full credit...

...he seems to have a very solid relationship with those who matter.

As far as what @SlumpBuster mentioned; we'll see how the "scholarship increase for baseball" actually calculates out to.
