I guess Betts didn't come back so you are right

Seems like we don't usually have as many transfers as people think we will, but maybe this year will be different since we seem to have a little more depth this year at some positions

the number of players stuck in the portal is astonishing. i think that has slowed it down a bit. Also maybe we have guys who actually want to be here 🤷🏻‍♂️

This.... by waiting they got their check, get access to all the weight room/practice/nutrition/etc... and it is pretty calm in the portal world right now. Might as well hang around till after spring and they are competitors Nobody wants to be told they failed. Spring is their last chance really.

After spring semester it wouldn't surprise me if we see a good amount of movement in the portal (coming and going).

I'm guessing (by guessing I mean hoping) that Liewer and Jackson are off scholarship. If so that means 86 with Betts gone. Only 1 needs to transfer.

Pull or not renew? If they were walkons put on scholarship they aren't guaranteed for 4 years. But I didn't think there were 10 guys that fell under that. Jackson, Liewer, Ty Hahn?, Belt (he'll stay on though right?), Hixson, Martin...am I missing someone

Between the guys who I think leave on their own or are told they don’t have a spot on the team and the scholarships that aren’t renewed I believe there will be ten players that are on scholarship now but won’t be come 8/1.

In the WR room, I think we’ll lose a couple of kids and I think we’ll ask for a couple of guys’ scholarships back if we need to make numbers work.

can't find it and it probably got cancel cultured, but one of the best SNL skits of all time was the negro league baseball one with Billy Crystal and Christopher Guest. They said when they cut a player back then, they'd tell them a family member died and the ball club would just move on without 'em. 🤣🤣🤣
