If Rhule leaves and we strike out on Kiffin and DeBoer, who do we sacrifice in order to appease the hiring god?

If NU/donors aren't willing to pony up the 💲, then you'll need a great coach who maximizes the available talent and you could do a lot worse than Fitzgerald.

I think the money is there if we get results and we have the right guy that can show he can use it. If you’re picking Fitz then you’re basically waiving the white flag and admitting our ceiling is Cockeye.

If we let Rhule slip away over NIL/facilities money, and then hire a guy who went 3-9 and 1-11 in his two most recent seasons, I’d just take that as throwing in the towel on the whole enterprise

I still think Fitz is a good coach. I would like to see what he can do at a place where they are not pinching pennies, but he can go do that somewhere else that is not Nebraska.

Rhule leaving at this point would really suck. Idk even know who are candidates would be outside of all the guys that we didn't hire last time around like Leipold or Campbell. I really don't want those guys and I dont want a guy who has never done it.

Lets hope Bama goes 8-4 or 9-3 down the stretch and that crazy fanbase gets DeBoer rethinking his fit there.
