When Scott made the onside kick call. I can just imagine it got real, real quiet. Then everybody just slowly turns their heads and looks at each other and mouths "what the fuck is he doing".

I'd be soooooo pissed if I was one of his assistants. That stupid call essentially guarantees their firings.

I just assumed something like this:

Even if you weren't a guy that normally speaks up to your boss, I'd think that would be a situation where you'd go "uh Scott....you sure about that"? I suppose the decision could have been made on the field too and they wouldn't have known about it. Who knows, what a joke.

It’s probably good that he called it. It makes the firing that much easier. We got physically manhandled by Northwestern. He needs to get gone.
The funny part is this is the most united I've seen the Huskers in a long time (I guess probably since Frost was hired). Are there still people defending him at this point?

Fair enough but we could have won, and that wouldn’t have changed the fact that we are terrible. It would have given people a false sense of hope.
I was agreeing with you. He's all around terrible. People will get hung up on one terrible thing (see Yant tripping on the goal line against MN last season) and ignoring the other terrible things (failing to score for the 3 possessions after that).

I'm not going to lie. In that 1st quarter when Casey was moving the offense and throwing well there was a second, just a second, where I got my hopes up. I thought maybe Whipple got us up to par on offense. But then the defense shit itself and the offense fell apart.

I imagine my father still is. He’s a great measure of public sentiment on this topic….

The defensive side of those headsets had to be thinking what the fuck
