I would imagine they set up a photogate between the tip of the guys dick and an arbitrary distance about 6 inches out.

A photogate is a device that assigns time stamps to two different known locations in an objects trajectory. These time stamps and corresponding distances give you all you need to calculate speed (distance and time).

When he ejaculated, the photogate captured the semen leaving his dick and assigned it a time stamp of “0.”

The second “gate” of the photogate then detected the semen precisely 6 inches away from the tip of his dick at a time stamp of 0.00798 seconds later.

By taking the distance of 6 inches and dividing it by 0.00798 seconds, you get a speed of 751.52 inches per second. There are 63,360 inches in one mile, and 3600 seconds in an hour, so some simple algebra allows you to convert 751.52 inches per second to 42.7 miles per hour.

Ballistic chronograph maybe? Used to measure the speed of bullets in feet per second. Could easily be converted to mph.

I would think the potential length of a jizz load would confuse its readings though. Need to bring the mythbusters back for this one.
