ok...I love going to casinos and playing black jack so I am not really a novice at casinos. Never really been a sports book guy tho...

But...last night, I found a little hidden gem of fun. I met a couple friends at the Horseshoe in CB to watch the Bengals game.

Well....They now and apparently unbeknownst to my dumb ass have had these kiosks where you can place bets(they have for a while). Any bets. Spread, prop, live game/2nd half bets, etc. The odds are ever changing so you can walk up and make a bet in the middle of the 3rd quarter. No one to talk to, no lines, just insert cash and bet...real time.

It was in the 3rd and I bet $20 on who would score the Bengals 4th TD(never happened - duh)...very cool and fun. I would have won $113 on my $20. What's cool is all your friends have different bets and are pulling for different players. I think one of them bet Burrow would rush for two TDS. His $20 would have paid like $1800(not exactly sure).

Anyway, cue the Jim Carrey (We are going to the Moon gif). My dumb-ass was unaware but that was a lot of fun. I guess the social aspect makes it better than draft kings, etc.

Speaking of in-game bets:

I am in the doubting camp on this. I don't believe someone who could bet 1.4 million to begin with is knocking down the door in-game to make a .8% return on their bet. Literally nothing good can come out of that bet, no one cares about turning 1.400 into 1.411, only bad things were possible when you do that. Unless the bettor was the owner of the Jags, so he could jinx the Chargers, I don't believe this.

Come on dawg?!

The book confirmed they took the bet

So you weren't like the guy who bet roughly $1 million for the Chargers to win at halftime to win $11K.

Then he lost both...LMAO

EDIT - Shit, I didn't even see @doublewing post. I'm looking like the guy who bet the money. Ha ha!

I thought I saw Draftkings confirmed it... Also there are several sports news websites who are reporting it.

I'm usually at the Horseshoe once a month playing live poker ..

I knew of the kiosks at the sportsbook, but never used them firsthand, but that's good info. What's stopping me from actually hanging out there for a game is I wish they had more comfortable seating .. like some of the Vegas Sportsbooks have .. If they upgraded that, it would be worth it for me.

They are more common than you'd think. Not as big as this guy's 1.4, but there were a few huge halftime bets on the Colts/Vikings game.

There are plenty of gamblers out there that will risk a lot to win little back on what they perceive as a lock.

I love a good day at the casino with a day full of sports. Just gets the degenerate in me going.

Place some early bets, stop over at the tables for a bit, hit some live bets, props, get loaded with friends.

Pool some money together on a few bets so everyone your with is pulling the same direction, then when it loses endlessly shame the one who proposed the bet.

Maybe hit a underwhelming buffet, blow $150 on roulette in 5 minutes. Buy some cocaine off some sketchy fat black prostitute.

Possibilities are endless.

I fly out to Vegas early morning Friday to do some gambling on the NFL division games. My wife set me up with a free room at the Ameristar Thursday, so I plan on visiting the sportsbook for a few hours. Come on over if you get bored!

Been gambling for 20 years and the craziest shit happened to me tonight.

I had a 5 team parlay $185 to win $3700ish. Had 2 wins in and another was cruising USU -6, they’re up like 30. Sweating out Youngstown St - 15 against 2 win UW Green Bay. They’re up 26 with 6 min to go and they end up winning by 14 while I’m drinking at big red. Loser. My last leg was StMary’s -12 and they’re up 26-11 in the first half. Following on espn.com Just miserable. BE9E5CC1-1D92-41AD-BAAA-4B099656B39B.jpeg
Lose my parlay and lost Youngstown St straight up for 400. About an hour later I refresh my account and I’m like wtf why do I have all this money? Apparently espn and my betting site had the wrong score and Youngstown st covered winning by 16.

I absolutely lose my shit at big red. They close at 11pm so pound St Mary’s again for $400 second half -4, book it to grata and I just watched St Mary’s crush Pepperdine second half. Winning by 29, +20 second half.

Craziest night of betting in my entire life wtf.
