Holy crap!!! Did anyone see the Blue Origin explosion at Cape Canaveral last night?

Jetty Park is just south of the launch area by Port Canaveral/Coco Beach area. I've seen a couple rockets launch from Coco Beach when I was down there. People usually line the highways when there is a launch. This is crazy.

Well yeah, but that explosion looked big enough to potentially expand outside their safety protocols. Some logistical staff have to be closer to the launch then anyone else. Nevertheless, thank god everyone was ok.

Yeah, I was reading where this will be a huge issue for them too. They are trying to catch SpaceX and also want to launch satellites for their own internet platform(like Starlink), but this will put them way behind. They said something similar happened to SpaceX a few years ago and it took them around 15 months to rebuild their platform. But, SpaceX had another platform capable of launching their rockets.

The shockwave wasn't that bad. For as bad as it looked, it was mostly just a fireball instead of a detonation since the liquid methane and oxygen is in separate tanks and mixes more slowly after the initial explosion

I've been deep sea fishing out of Port Canaveral and I believe that they do shark fishing at night.
