I would absolutely understand if we see Logan Smothers move on. Go find somewhere to get some playing time, dude. Nobody would blame you.

Hunter Hurst Helmsley Haarberg.....I wonder if he would consider a position change instead of leaving. Can he bulk up and play TE? We need TEs. And his transfer value has to be low. How much development at QB could he have gotten? He has done next to nothing. And based on the lack of development we have seen from other back ups ahead of him how much growing could he have gotten in the 4th/5th slot at practice? He can't go somewhere and start and who is looking for a project QB in the portal? Maybe stay and switch positions.... anybody with me?

Yant. He'll probably transfer out and do well at some smaller school but he seems like the least popular player on the team so it's better for him to just bounce.

Gates, Lynn, Conn, Johnson.....would we even notice if they left? Free up some space for any transfers that don't go to Colorado.


Keep an eye on who our coaches follow in the portal because I think visits will start to get set up soon.

I wonder how many players that need to be encouraged to move on won't be due to lack of familiarity by the new staff, or in some cases, the lack of an announced position coach, who I presume would be the one ultimately responsible for staffing their "room". Beyond that thought. good luck to the staff in grabbing the guys they think they need, and good luck to the kids seeking new playing opportunities.

I'm actually thinking Ajay sticks. His new position coach is getting tons of praise for being a great recruiter, so I think he wins out.

Hausman was definitely a surprise. I'd wonder if Benhart or Corcoran stay around personally.

I don't get the fan's hate on Haarberg, he's a redshirt freshman than has had 2 different QB coaches and OCs in his time here. Haarberg has a rope for an arm, between him and Torres, those two have cannons for arms, best among the QBs. Not sure why Whip went with Synek to start taking reps.
