I've been able to confirm that Nebraska head men's golf coach Mark Hankins is leaving NU for a job at Missouri to be an assistant under Mark Leroux. It's my understanding it's a potential head coach in waiting deal for him. Mizzou is ranked 56th in the latest golf team rankings, while Nebraska is 111, according to GolfStat.

Moos has been talking about a new golf facility since 2018, and they still have no formal plans or fundraising for it...you can only promise shit for so long to an employee before he looks elsewhere. My guess is the groundbreaking for the new football complex was probably the last straw. And FWIW, gonna be hard to get a good golf coach here for $137k a year and shitty facilities. Golf gonna turn into the new tennis here at DONU.

1999 - 2nd at Big 12 championship at prarie dunes. 3 huskers in the top 10 - Jamie Rogers, Friesen, Madden.
