Didn't know that.....never mind then. I figured you get paid if you win gold, and less with each less medal.

At the 2022 winter Olympics the US paid 37,500 for gold, 22500 for silver, and 15000 for bronze. Not everyone gets paid but the US does pay its medal winners.

Really no idea but I’d guess it depends on the sport.
