I was with my in-laws at Cactus restaurant in Lincoln before going to the Elton John concert tonight. We saw Scott with his family there. I can confirm his wife actually exists. He was wearing a long sleeve flannel shirt, glasses, and a hat pulled down low…very incognito.

At any rate, my mother-in-law attempted to make conversation as he and the family were leaving. She said “Good luck coach…my prayers are with you.” He smiled but seemed annoyed (with good reason).

Anyway, just thought I would share as he rarely is seen in public with his family.

A few reasons:

1. I'm not a big fan of attention. I like to fly under the radar. He gets a lot of attention when in public
2. Knowing what we know now, all the rumors that were flying around would make me not want to go out in public very often
3. Crazy fans. Either shit talking or want to make a scene. Just wouldn't want to deal with that personally

hahahahah no worries I've heard his legend a few times. Whenever I watch a Husker game at a sports bar, if we have a waitress, I can hear them asking if any of us have heard of Big Tone, including the tables I've sat at. I say I've heard of him but have never met him before.

I can't stand it when people/family say they're praying for me. It's super annoying! Also, super disingenuous. You want me to think you're so altruistic that you spend your days praying for those around you. GTFOH!

How creepy would it be to have a stranger say they are praying for you? Like, before bed, you're on your knees talking to your God about ME! Fucking weird!
