Damn, nice flatty! River I assume this early in the year?

Love me some fried Flathead belly. I fish them out of branched oak mainly because there’s monsters in there but you can’t keep them so I miss out on all that goodness. Plenty of accidental channel cats to fill the freezer though

about another month here and I’ll start heading back over to Branched Oak and Milford to hit my blues. Nothing better than when they’re up shallow then when they disappear for spawn the flatties are fun out of there too, a guy that guides out there swears there’s some 80+ers but best I’ve got so far is a 65
