We were at Roca Berry Farm and they had to evacuate and close around 4pm today. Lots of emergency vehicles heading south on our way home.

This past spring was the windiest I can ever remember. It seemed like there was always a fire popping up in SW Nebraska.

Update....3 gas tanks later for the power washer. Wife and I have the yard soaked. Neighbor assisted with watering by turning on his sprinklers to the north and blew mist into our yard. House and roof have been sprayed. Fully prepared to battle tonight.

Over north of swanton we have a qtr of wheat stubble with cover crop that we are planning on getting cows on in a week or so, sounds like they had to disc up 25-30 acres to stop a fire coming from swanton. So that sucks, but not nearly as bad as the one south of Lincoln it sounds like
