Evacuated Cambridge and Bartley last night


Businesses in McCook are helping.


Gary’s is staying open 24 hours for people who need to get supplies/food. (lots of non-local departments have come to help so getting drinks/food etc helps a lot)


Bakery, BBQ, pizza places, etc all shut down today to just cook food to donate to people in need or those working on the fires.


Daycares are staying open 24 hours to take kids that got evacuated or children of people who are working around the clock to fight the fires.



we lost power for 2 hours but can’t complain other than that

Just spoke with a friend of mine from Elsie. Said he’s helping fight fire. All I know is it burnt through prairie dog towns we shot at once.

Last summer a guy robbed the bank in Gothenburg and got away.

Was from Wallace (just east of Elsie) and as soon as State Patrol released the suspect photo they got calls like “oh I know that sonofabitch”, the Lincoln County Sheriffs office got him before Troop D did.


Like the first successful bank robbery out here in awhile, should get him some street cred in Tecumseh.
