Anyone tell me about Estes Park area? Wanting to take a quick vacation in the winter time to somewhere in Colorado. Wife and I only. Basically, secluded cabin, poundtown, close enough to some breweries/etc. Will post scantly clad large breasted hose hounds later, can't right now. Or any other recs in Colorado, preferably NE or N Colorado.

TIA ebronies.

have a cabin there. wouldnt go in the winter if im honest with you. much better in spring/summer/fall. sort of a dead town in winter
That's pretty much the point. Get away from everything for a couple days. Ship the kids off to the outlaws for the weekend (We've got several dates of 4 day weekends this year. Have an option go in and eat and drink some beer.

I do a few trips to Colorado a year because my wife loves it there. Steamboat Springs is both of our favorite. Lots of good restaurants and town stuff to do, then a ton of good hiking/fishing close by.

It’s a little more hopping in the fall than places like Aspen/Snowmass so you still get the benefit of cheaper fall prices without being in an absolute ghost town

I would not do Estes in the winter, the town basically shuts down. Also the roads getting up there are verrrry sketch when it snows imo.

I would do Steamboat Springs, it's farther out there but a lot of fun even if you don't ski and you won't run into restaurants and bars being closed like Estes Park. It's also far enough off the beaten path that it doesn't get quite as inundated with Denver weekend traffic. Roads can get sketchy but imo--the plows run often and it doesn't get as bad as Estes Park.

i'll cover you on the big boobs until you are able to post on your own...

Gotcha. A lot of the shops close tho FYI. The barrel and the wheel are the two best places to drink.

As long as places to eat and drink don't close up shop, that'll be fine.

Basically, go somewhere, relax, poundtown, eat, poundtown, go out for drinks - brewery/winery whatever, hot tub, poundtown. You get the picture. I live a pretty simple life.

Go to Vail brother. Estes sucks

Dillon/Frisco up to the Breckenridge area is really nice during the winter. You'll find some nice AirBnb's or whathaveyou there. Great places to eat, drink and do whatever. Dillon lake is huge and in the middle of winter they open a portion of it for ice skating, etc.

Estes is nice during the winter, but like most of these places, you'll be dealing with a ton of tourism/ski resort traffic.
