I'm not quite as certain - I don't know enough about his academic situation to know if he had a hard time getting admissions offices to accept him (TX and FL are good schools) or if this is a NCAA qualification issue. If it's the latter, do we know if there is a chance it is fixable by fall? A lot of schools wouldn't take a chance on that even if there was a 50% chance of qualifying.

I'm just going off what had been said about him. I will say this though for as crazy as DT recruiting has been I would have expected more teams would have been after him so I'm assuming there is an issue with him? Hopefully not.

Yes, it's a thing for partial qualifiers. Like Vail said, we've utilized it recently, but also like Vail, I can't remember who.

They may receive athletics scholarships and practice during their first semester but cannot compete in games. They must meet specific academic criteria, such as a 2.0 GPA and 16 core courses, to become eligible to compete in future seasons.
