Anyone been since restaurants opened back up? Going to be there Friday night and hoping to find a nice higher end restaurant to hang out and have some drinks & dinner at. Just hoping that restaurants still have bar seating as I will be riding solo and I’m not sure if that is going away there with covid. Will be staying off Michigan Ave. Anyone got any recs?

Not too particular on cuisine, but a nice steak would be nice. Or sushi. Like i said my main concern is finding a place that has good bar seating even with the Covid restrictions.

I helped Manage Carmine's on Rush St. Know the area pretty well and still keep in touch with some of the gang. Stay off of Michigan Ave. You should be fine in the Gold Coast area. Not sure what is open or what the rules are. But if you are looking for Dirty Leg the Viagra Triangle is a good place to go. Hit up Gibson's for a steak. Hugo's Frog Bar and Tavern on Rush will have some wanna be Sloots in there. My favorite late night dive place is Dublins. Open til 4am except saturday til 5am. Had some wild times in there. Got drunk with the guy who wrote Dazed and Confused plus Ralphie from The Christmas Story movie use to hang in there.

For steak around that area, I’d do Maple and Ash or Prime and Provisions. Bavettes is another really good call, but hard to get a table. You could set a notify on Resy
