I’ll take slightly below average special teams scheme in exchange for a tangible recruiting boost. You prefer Busch over Snyder? Busch much better recruiter. Snyder better ST guy
I don’t necessarily disagreeI’ll take slightly below average special teams scheme in exchange for a tangible recruiting boost.

One of my buddies kicked for Snyder when he was at KSU. Said Sean is a real arrogant prick. Players hated him. He rarely worked with the Specialists and spent most of his time holed up in his office during practices but you can do that when dad is the legendary coach. Sean might have schemed but other coaches did much of the coaching. You prefer Busch over Snyder? Busch much better recruiter. Snyder better ST guy

Yeah, they said every time a Pro Scout was at practice he would put on his cletes and kick with the team. He had his cup of coffee as a Punter in the NFL, and they thought he was trying to get another shot with an NFL team. I haven't even been following how USC did this year with Special Teams but it seems like most Husker Fans are enamored with Snyder. Once again probably because it is someone they are familiar with as that seems to be their comfort zone. Familiarity. Scared of the unknown, so scared they are afraid to try anything new or different. GBRI’ve heard the same
Guy was a big douche & always brought his kicking shoes with him when scouts showed up to practices
Last thing we need is another Bruce Reed.
Better to have a guy comfortable with special teams who can either recruit his balls off or coach another position
Fuking special teams aren’t that hard if u have half a clue what u are doing
It’s obvious we have no Fuking clue.
Funny thing is I’ve heard Busch is an arrogant prick. It goes back to Kearney state when he was a GA and got knocked out by a player. One of my buddies kicked for Snyder when he was at KSU. Lol tell the storyFunny thing is I’ve heard Busch is an arrogant prick. It goes back to Kearney state when he was a GA and got knocked out by a player.
I’ve heard it from multiple guys and my uncle who played there in the 80s. He was just being an arrogant dick at O’Malley’s one night talking shit so a linebacker had enough of it and laid his ass out. I could be wrong on the bar. My uncle also said he was the type of guy who would tell the one player you’re my guy going into next year and he would blow the same smoke up another players ass. I also know Boreoff didn’t think much of him and he is basically a TO type.Lol tell the story

I remember that Busch was known as a screamer and yeller during practice when he was at Nebraska before. But he is also known as a tireless worker, especially on the recruiting trail. I have a couple friends who have interacted with him since they were kids. They weren't close friends with him but have been around him a long time. Said he is sociable and a likeable enough guy from what they can tell. Nothing earth shattering on inside info. If Busch is on staff I will get some inside info because my mom is close friends with a relative of his.I’ve heard it from multiple guys and my uncle who played there in the 80s. Having said that it’s not like he is the first arrogant coach but to say Snyder shouldn’t be the special team coach because he is a tool is hypocritical if you want Busch because he is also a tool. Just give me results.
You were calling out Snyder’s arrogance. My point is a lot of college coaches are arrogant including Busch. Frost needs to hire a coach who gets results. No one is going to care if the guy is a tool or not if his group is doing well. I wouldn’t have an issue with either Snyder or Busch as the st coach. Just produce.I remember that Busch was known as a screamer and yeller during practice when he was at Nebraska before. But he is also known as a tireless worker, especially on the recruiting trail. I can see him being a prick, old school kinda hard ass coach. I can care less if he is a Ball Buster because I really want him for his work ethic and recruiting. Our current coaches aren't known as the most organized or hardest working, especially on the recruiting trails so hopefully having some new blood around could help them out a bit. Lead by example. Nobody outworked Busch on the recruiting trail and we need at least one coach like that on this staff. Plus he is a good Talent Evaluator. Our talent level is getting to a scary level at quite a few positions and whether it is Frost or someone else leading our team for the 2023 Season we will still need talented players. Joseph & Busch should really help with recruiting. And more important if we are trying for a quick infusion of talent from the Transfer Portal for next season. A big reason I want Busch is for his work ethic and top notch recruiting. Also he is versatile enough that he can coach numerous positions on Defense so adds versatility if a coach leaves.
If he does blow smoke with playing time to players then he would fit in with this staff. How many times have we heard in a press conference that a player had a great week of practice only to see them not get in the game that weekend?
