thanks - brain cramp. After reading the story too 😳David
I don't think it would have been a bad option but optically you can't hire him given his record. I think all the reason above are legit excuses. He'll go get a gig in the NFL and be successful.I saw more than one dipshit on rrs saying he should’ve been considered for Nebraska. Brilliant.
Correct. Maybe add Cal to the list (Stanford, Vandy, NW, G Tech and Cal).Stanford is an impossible job. Their graduate program never accepts 5th year football players so it’s impossible to keep a guy around for a 5th year.
Stanford also makes zero exceptions for transfers. So impossible to get transfers.
They had to build on campus housing for coaches because they couldn’t afford to live in the area lol.
And on top of that….let’s say you’re an NFL type talent that’s going to be a junior next year at Stanford …”hey kid this is Coach *insert name* wanna struggle through another rigorous class schedule before you go pro next year or come to Oregon/UCLA/Arizona St etc etc and coast for a semester?” Impossible to keep kids there.
Places like Stanford and Vandy and Northwestern and Ga Tech are going to have the hardest times adapting to the portal/NIL era. Small fan bases with really tough admission standards that don’t bend for athletes.
I could see Cal dropping football all together lol. They truly do not give a shit.Correct. Maybe add Cal to the list (Stanford, Vandy, NW, G Tech and Cal).
Duke too, which makes Mike Elko leading them to an 8-4 season in his first year pretty dang impressive.Correct. Maybe add Cal to the list (Stanford, Vandy, NW, G Tech and Cal).
Exactly. Forgot Duke. Good call!Duke too, which makes Mike Elko leading them to an 8-4 season in his first year pretty dang impressive.
