As you can see in the Forbes article @BIGSTICK67 posted, it’s more about some combination of population density in their main market, TV sets in their overall market, merchandise sales, etc. than it is playing good football and championships. A couple years back I read a similar article that listed Dallas #1 and the then Oakland Raiders listed at #2 when they were in the tail end of their decade long garbage run post Callahan Super Bowl. Go to Mexico and you’ll see locals with Cowboy and Raider gear on. It is what it is.
